When watching these videos and reading about what happened before, during, and after the holocaust, it really opens my eyes to how most people just stood there and watched. I liked how in the video of Kristallnatcht, the man speaking expresses how even though the German or Austrian people weren’t directly involved with the burning or killing of Jews that night, but since they didn’t do anything to stop it or raise awareness, they helped to the cause by their silence.  It still surprises me how Hitler and the Nazis got away with the killings of millions of innocent people, how does the average person not seek help to fight back? Also when looking at a map of all the locations of the death camps and concentration camps, it is truly scary of how quickly the Nazis could construct those camps.

        The fact that the Nazis violated war rules by killing POWs shows their intention and the need for the allies to step in and destroy this evil disease that Germany had created with the help of Hitler. Even though Germany was weak country at the time, that is not an excuse for almost giving Hitler the position and “ok” for him to go through with his plans that he wrote in his book. When watching the video on Auschwitz, at first look it wouldn’t seem like a death camp at all, it looks more like a regular building complex. But when looking into the actual chambers it is scary and makes me wonder how the men who worked these camps could possibly do such a thing and not have any remorse of feeling.
