In the movie, “Luther”, the famous figure’s life
is followed from when he joins the church until the church is finally reformed
because of his works. The most impressive accomplishment for him was never
stepping down from what he was fighting for and what he believed in. While in
front of the cardinal as they ask him disregard his teachings, Martin Luther
continued to make an argument as to why he had done nothing wrong, and instead what
the Church is doing wrong. If no one were to point out the flaws that were
beginning to form, then the problems would never be fixed. Martin Luther
displayed bravery by trying to make a change, even though he knew his position
in the church and his life would be on the line. Luther also showed compassion
towards the people that he preached in his church no matter what they have done
or incapable of, such as Gretel. When Luther spotted her body, he covered her
body with his blanket, because he was continuing to look after her one last
time. Because Luther stood up for the church, more reformations have been made
such as Calvinism and the Church of England. He started the English Reformation,
which would impact the rest of history.
